'Utsukushima' Fukushima

"Mt. Azuma's seeding rabbit is a harbinger of spring."
"Azuma-yama tanemaki-usagi wa haruno sisha."

This haiku was composed by my daughter when she was an elementary school student. She won the prize in the haiku contest then.

"Seeding rabbit" is a wonderful word. When I hear this word, I can easily imagine the beautiful view of Mt. Azuma. We have cherry blossoms and rape blossoms in spring. Spring also brings us soft sunshine.

"Utsukushima" Fukushima, beautiful land of Fukushima, is the motto of Fukushima-ken. Fukushima's scenery is full of variety. I feel that everything is vivid and active. I Iove spring time in Fukushima.
