「名前」
高校の時の英語、「オーラルコミュニケーション」。
科目名通り、「会話」の授業である。
この授業の中で、印象に残っているものに、次のものがある。
「自分の名前を英語で表す」である。
無論、「私の名前は秋葉流です」と言うものではない。
漢字で書かれている一単語ずつをばらして、英語での意味を説明する、というものである。
俺の場合、「秋」「葉」「流」の３つの単語をそれぞれ訳して説明することになる。
「Aki」、意味は「秋」。
「Ba（Ha)」、意味は「葉」。
ひらがな表記である場合は、その旨を告げれば良い。
困ったのは「流」。
普通名詞ではないので、どうにも変になる。
いっそのこと、説明を苗字だけにしてしまおう、と思ってしまった。
授業時、実際には、指名されなかったので、その必要も無かったのだが。
名前である「nagare」は意味として「流れる」となる。
自らの名とはいえ、苗字に比べてしまらない説明だなぁ。

"The Name"
One of high school's English study class, "Oral Communication".
According to subject, "the convensation" class.
I had be left impression in this class, following.
"It express my name by English".
As a matter of course, it don't say "my name is Nagare Akiba".
It take to peaces word by word written a Chinese character, and explain to mean as for English.
My own case, it explain to transrate tree words, "Aki","Ba(Ha)" and "Nagare".
"Aki" mean "The autumn".
"Ba(Ha)" mean "The leaf".
In this case, "to inscribed the cursive kana letters.", may say it.
It is trouble "nagare".
It is odd translation, because it isn't a usually noun.
There is no help for it, I thought, "it will explain only family name".
In practice, during the lesson, I didn't need to feel misgivings, because I was not designated.
My first name "Nagare" means "The stream".
It is my name nevertheless, it explain not good compared with family name.
